Art nourishes the soul. It doesn’t feed the hungry or provide shelter to the homeless. It won’t fix the economy or cure any diseases.
But art is therapy. It is coping. It is human. Art will never cure cancer, but it will help a patient get through it.
Love the art you manifest; even if it isn’t original, if it isn’t creative, if it isn’t good. Love it, it’s yours.
If you sing a song, sing it like you are singing with angels. Draw a picture like the pencil is an extension of your bloodstream. Write a poem and find a thousand different ways to say “I love you.” Work on a masterpiece and indulge in your own self-expression.
Create it, appreciate it, and wonder why the person next to you isn’t doing the same.
